Iceland's Responsible Fishery Management Scheme Starts 5 Year Review Public Comment

The Iceland Responsible Fisheries Foundation announced that the IRFM Specification for the Certification of Icelandic Fisheries, first issued in 2010, is now available for a 30 days public comment from 13 October - 12 November 2015. The public comment is prior to its formal 5 year review by the IRFF Technical Committee.
The main objective of IRFM Certification is to allow IRFF to transparently demonstrate that fisheries management and practices in Iceland are conducted responsibly in a credible and internationally recognized manner to the criteria specified by the FAO....
