Murkowski Dispatches Mediator to Sort Out War Games Dispute Between Navy and PWS's Fishing Industry

Fishing industry concerns over potential environmental and economic impact of U.S. Navy war games scheduled for June in Prince William Sound have prompted Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska to send in a facilitator to work on the issue.
Murkowski said May 19 that legislative assistant Ephraim Froelich would be in Cordova during Memorial Day week to
meet with residents and ask them what her office needs to do to get their questions answered.
The Alaska Republican said she has been trying to bring Cordova's concerns to the Navy and encourage the Navy to create a higher degree of outreach. If there were questions asked at meetings with the Navy that have gone unanswered, she wants to know about them, she said...
