Higher Shrimp Sales Help Mexico Post Higher Than Expected Trade Surplus in February

Mexican registered a $558 million trade surplus in February as increased exports of manufactured goods, mining and agricultural products offset the impact from lower crude-oil prices.
Exports fell 2.6% from February 2014 to $29.68 billion, with petroleum exports down 46.9%, while imports slipped 1.4% to $29.12 billion, the National Statistics Institute said Friday.
The surplus was slightly bigger than the $488 million median estimate of eight economists polled by The Wall Street Journal. It narrowed the trade deficit for the first two months of the year to $2.69 billion...
