Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods Buys Orion in Major Lobster Deal

Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Orion Seafood International. Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods is a major shrimp and frozen fish importer, and is a subsidiary of Thai Union. They are one of the largest shrimp importers into the US.
Orion specializes in North Atlantic lobster and other shellfish products such as snow crab. In June, Orion and Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods announced an agreement whereby COSFF would finance Orion's lobster and crab purchases. Orion has long provided financing...
