Alaska Processors request FDA change the legal market name 'Alaska Pollock' to just 'Pollock'

A group representing virtually all of the Alaska pollock processors has asked the Food & Drug Administration to update the acceptable market name of “Alaska pollock” to simply “pollock”, saying that use of the name ‘Alaska Pollock’ on fish from Russia causes widespread consumer confusion.
