Cooke returns to salmon processing in Maine, sees uptick in consumer demand for Maine salmon

Cooke Aquaculture's US subsidiary True North Salmon has once again started processing salmon at its Machiasport, Maine facility after last winter's rough weather forced the company to suspend operations temporarily.
The company said forty workers are once again processing salmon at the facility. Additionally, Cooke's CEO Glenn Cooke said the goal now is to increase its farming operations in Maine citing an uptick in consumer interest for farmed salmon out of the region...
