Camanchaca posts $9.3 million in 1H revenue on improved salmon sales, prices and production costs

Improved sales, better salmon prices and reduced productions costs carried Camanchaca's half-year performance that saw the Chilean producer 's net income reach $9.3 million for the year through June. The 2014 performance was is stark contrast to the company's performance last year where it reported a $25 million loss.
According to Camanchaca's financial report submitted to the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS), the company's first half revenues totaled $ 252 million, mainly due to higher salmon sales, which grew by 40%. In the case of fisheries, the revenue increase was 0.6% and 7% crops.
