Letters: Linda Kozak says pick the best Ak fish candidate in Republican primary, even if you support Begich

As a lifelong Alaskan connected to the seafood industry, I have always voted for the person I believed would be best for Alaska's state and federal fisheries. I grew up in Bristol Bay fishing salmon. My sons and now my grandchildren are sharing in that experience. For 26 years, I’ve also had the privilege of representing commercial fishermen in the state and federal regulatory process.
This upcoming Primary election is important for Alaska's seafood industry. It will decide the Republican who will face Senator Begich in November. Senator Begich has been a terrific supporter of the seafood industry and we greatly appreciate his efforts on behalf of Alaska's fisheries and fishermen.
However, this election is NOT about Senator Begich.
When Alaskans go to the polls, we need to elect the best Republican candidate who would work hard to protect Alaska’s fisheries....
