Thai Tuna Industry Assoc. officially launched at this week's World Tuna Trade Conference

This week marked the official launch of the Thai Tuna Industry Association (TTIA) during this week's 13th annual INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition in Bangkok.
The Association was first formed last July by 16 Thai tuna companies including TUF, Gold Prize Canning and Asian Alliance International among others.
Dr. Chanintr Chalisarapong, senior vice president of Seavalue and considered a world tuna expert, was elected president of the Association. Chalisarapong said the Association will help promote Thailand's global significance as the world's top tuna producer. Last year the country's exported tuna revenues were pegged at around US$2.6 billion in 2013.
