Is a 60% price increase too high a number for Shrimp: We compare Urner Barry and BLS indices

Last week we reported that the Bureau of Labor statistics showed a 60% jump in producer shrimp prices over the past 12 months. We emphasized that this was far in excess of every other major protein.
However, some readers asked why our Urner Barry Shrimp index was up less – around 47% from February to February, and less than that year over year in March.
