Marine Harvest to filter its fish oil for salmon feed to remove contaminants

Marine Harvest announced they will begin filtering, or 'cleaning' all fish oil used in feeds for their farmed salmon. Cleaning the fish oil removes environmental pollutants, and the company says that this should 'make intake limitations for salmon redundant.'
Marine Harvest says this type of filtering of fish oil is not done by others in the production of salmon feed, and will give them a competitive advantage.
