Japan's Umios to Absorb Bluefin Tuna Aquaculture and Processed Food Units from Subsidiary TAFCO

Tokyo-listed seafood giant Umios Co., Ltd. announced Monday it will absorb the aquaculture and processed food businesses of its wholly-owned subsidiary Taiyo A&F Co., Ltd. (TAFCO) through a simplified absorption-type company split, effective October 1, 2026. The board resolution was passed the same day.
