Hiroshima's Oyster Production Devastated with as Much as 90% Mortality

According to a Minato Shimbun report, in response to the worsening issue of mass oyster mortality in Hiroshima Prefecture, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Norikazu Suzuki visited Akizu Town in Higashihiroshima City on November 19th, where extensive damage has been reported. He exchanged views with representatives of the Prefectural Fisheries Association and the prefecture's fisheries cooperatives, as well as the heads of relevant local governments.
