Assembly to Decide Whether to Accept P-Cod Disaster Money
The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly will vote Thursday on accepting $156,158 from the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission.
The money is from the 2020 Gulf of Alaska Pacific Cod Disaster Relief for Communities. It's part of a $709,000 federal program that compensates Alaska municipalities for lost fish tax revenues during 2020 Pacific cod season that never was.
