Seafood NZ to Launch Appeal Against Council
Waikato Regional Council’s planned prohibition of certain commercial fishing methods may be dead in the water – if Seafood NZ has its way.
In the wake of the council announcing it had approved notification for its new coastal plan, hailed as a win for small-time anglers and fisher-folk against big bottom trawlers, the industry lobby group has announced it will launch legal action.
