Tariff Cut in the US May Heighten Competition for Brazil
The steep tariff reductions announced on Friday (14) by U.S. President Donald Trump mean that, for Brazil, most listed products will now face a 40% rate instead of 50%, still a punitive level. The White House list includes 238 products, such as meat, coffee, vegetables, carnaúba wax, citrus fruit, Brazil nuts, orange juice, and chemical goods.
