Alaska Troopers Investigating Bycatch Sales by Multiple Processors

Alaska State Troopers searched the offices of Kodiak's Alaska Groundfish Databank last Wednesday, as part of an investigation into allegations of illegal sales of bycatch halibut and salmon.
Electronics including AGBD executive director Julie Bonney's laptop and cell phone were seized, as part of a Trooper's investigation into sales of bycatch by "multiple" unnamed groundfish processors.
Alaska Department of Public Safety Communications Director Austin McDaniel issued a statement on the search on Friday.
