The U.S. Senate passage of the new National Defense Authorization Act includes several U.S. Coast Guard Alaska-focused measures, Alaska senator Dan Sullivan wrote Wednesday.
The legislation authorizes $14.8 billion in Coast Guard funding for FY25 and $15.5 billion for FY26. Fourteen of Sullivan's provisions were included, many addressing infrastructure, personnel, and safety needs specific to Alaska.
