Hokkaido Spring Herring Landings Record 6540 Tons for the First Time Since 1996
According to a report in the Suisan Keizai Shimbun, the herring landings along the Sea of Japan coast of Hokkaido, a preliminary report published by the Hokkaido Fisheries and Forestry Department, was 6,540 tons as of the end of April. This is an increase of 36% compared to the same period last year.
