Department of Labor Won Suit and Damages, Now Seeks Workers Who Were Cheated out of Wages
The Wage and Hour Division (WHD) of the U.S. Department of Labor investigated two staffing agencies in Middlesex County that hired and sent more than 200 temporary workers to businesses in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, then failed to pay them for overtime. A violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act was found by a federal court in Boston last May, and payment ordered by the court has been made to DOL.
