Hokkaido Herring Landings Up 52% to a Record 2942 Tons as of the End of February
As of February 29, the catch of herring fishing along the Sea of Japan coast of Hokkaido (Hiyama-Soya) (preliminary figures compiled by the Hokkaido Fisheries and Forestry Department) was 2,942 tons, an increase of 52% compared to the same period last year.
