Louisiana’s Carter Asks USDA, SBA to Help Crawfish Farmers Hit Hard By Extreme Weather in 2023
Last week U.S. House member Troy A. Carter sent letters to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and Secretary of the Small Business Administration Isabel Guzman urging them to aid Louisiana’s crawfish farming industry following a late freeze in March 2023 and an exceptionally dry, hot summer that wreaked havoc on Louisiana’s agricultural landscape.
