Canada Food Inspection Agency Funds $300k Research For Portable Domoic Acid Test
Canada’s Minister of Health Mark Holland announced two awards yesterday of $150,000 each to a pair of Canadian companies to develop a 'proof of concept' for a portable, environmental Domoic Acid test.
The two companies are Cytodiagnostics Inc., specializing in nanoparticles and lateral flow assay conjugates, located in Burlington, Ontario and Sensoreal Inc., specializing in microfluidics, located in Montreal, Quebec
The awards are part of a challenge called Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC), sponsored by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
