Russia Plans to Increase Fish Exports to China This Year
Russia plans to increase fish exports to China this year in an attempt to replace Japan, which lost the Chinese market due to the conflict over water from Fukushima.
So far, approximately 900 Russian companies have received permission to export seafood to China. The Russian state expects that due to events around Fukushima, this number will increase, although some local analysts said that Russia already supplies a significant part of catch, mainly white fish and pollock to China, while Japan typically supplied other products to the Chinese market...
