JBS Foods said a recent partnership made between its Tasmania-based Atlantic salmon farming subsidiary Huon Aquaculture and Southern Ocean Subsea (SOSub) may “revolutionize the aquaculture industry worldwide.”
Huon and SOSub, a local tech business, have created a “ground-breaking” underwater robotic stitching tool. The product, already tested at numerous Huon farming sites, are remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) to repair fish farming nets.
