Russia: Salmon Landings Up 60% From 2021, Q1 Pollock Exports to China Up 55%
According to the North Sea Development Association in Hokkaido, Russia's salmon and trout fishing season was opened in June. It caught about 2,100 tons as of June 15, mainly sockeye salmon, in the waters of East Kamchatka. Compared to the preliminary figures for the same period in 2021, the most recent odd-numbered year, this is a little over 60% higher, reported Suisan Keizai.
