ANALYSIS: April U.S. Shrimp Imports Fall Double Digits for 10th Straight Month
In data released today, April U.S. shrimp imports fell for the 10th straight month, coming in 15.9 percent below last year. The trend of large double-digit declines remained intact and was once again broad-based. Imports were 123.459 million pounds compared to 146.828 million pounds last year.
Most of the major trade partners again were much lower year-to-year. While it may not be surprising that one was higher, the exporting country just might be. India (+7.3%)...
