NOAA Announces $3.31 Billion Investment in Coastal Resilience, Salmon Recovery and Infrastructure
A whopping $3.31 billion has been dedicated to build climate resilience and support coastal communities through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding. Part of the funding is set to support salmon recovery in Washington, as well as rebuild the Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle.
U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington made the announcement regarding the funding on Tuesday.
