Chile’s SMA Initiates Sanctions Against Salmonid Processing Plant
Chile’s Superintendence of the Environment (SMA) announced late last week that they have initiated sanctioning procedures against salmonid processing plant Puerto Demaistre Limitada. The company is accused of using “unauthorized routes in their environmental permit for the circulation of dump trucks and for the intervention of 1.3 additional hectares for slaughter facilities.
