Ecuador Sees Greater Exports to China
Despite a market recession, Ecuador has enjoyed an increase in shrimp export volume this January. The number has gone up by 30% to 95,000 tons, according to statistics from Cámara Nacional de Acuacultura. One main reason for such a rise is said to be China, the country’s largest importer, whose imports has increased by 47% to 59,000 tons, while that of others like America only by 13% to 16,000 tons.
