Abanca Receives an Offer From the American Company Red Chamber to Buy Nueva Pescanova
Nueva Pescanova is negotiating against the clock the entry of a new partner and the refinancing of a debt that matures in a matter of days with three Spanish banks. According to sources close to the talks, the U.S. group Red Chamber has submitted an offer to take a majority stake in the Galician company, currently 97% owned by Abanca. The bank controlled by Juan Carlos Escotet has two other proposals, one of which requires financing from Banco Santander.
