Ecuador Reports Damages to Shrimp Infrastructures Following 6.8 Magnitude Earthquake
On Saturday a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Ecuador and northern Peru. The quake, which hit just off the Pacific Coast, approximately 50 miles south of the city of Guayaquil, killed at least 15 people and injured more than 400.
Ecuador’s National Chamber of Aquaculture, Camara Nacional De Aqucultura (CNA), shared over the weekend that damages to shrimp infrastructure have been reported in I. Bravito, Estero Huayla, and Puerto Bolivar.
