Three Rescued From Sinking Commercial Fishing Vessel Near Pascagoula, Mississippi
Three people were rescued from a sinking vessel near Pascagoula, Mississippi, on Monday.
The Dat Parker, a 50-foot commercial fishing vessel, began taking on water early yesterday morning. Watchstanders with the eighth Coast Guard District received a distress alert at 8:11 a.m. from an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB). Upon contacting the owner of the vessel they were able to learn that her husband and two others had taken the boat for fishing. She had been unable to contact them.
