Japan: November Imports Soared in Salmon Fillets; Trout 5.5 Times from Turkey
According to customs statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, imports of salmon and trout recovered to the same level as the previous year in November. Fresh fish imports by air shipments remained sluggish, but frozen sockeye and fillet products increased, reported Suisan Keizai.
As for frozen products, the new season's dressed Chilean coho was slightly lower than the previous year at 10,238 tons, and the total for the new season since October was 14,514 tons, which is 3,600 tons less than the same period last year...
