Chile Fisheries Service Finds Fish Meal, Oil Plant Used Raw Materials of Illegal Origin
Chile’s National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (SERNAPESCA) verified that a fish meal and fish oil plant used raw materials of illegal origin. Sernapesca seized the illegal products and issued a trio of citations.
The plant in question was located in Puerto Chacabuco, according to a translated news update from Sernapesca. Multiple Sernapesca units were critical in its verification process.
