Norwegian Seafood Exports Challenged by Increased Costs, Unrest in Salmon Market

Norwegian Seafood Council CEO Christian Chramer stated that despite the third-highest export value for the month of November in history, Norway’s seafood exports faced increased costs and inflation, a key reason behind impressive values in the month.
“Nevertheless, the increase in demand is not taken out in greater volume but in higher prices. In general, we have high food inflation and increased costs, which drive up prices throughout the value chain,” Chramer explained.
