Faroe Islands, Russia Renew Fisheries Agreement for 2023 Amid Criticism
The Faroe Islands and Russia have agreed to a fisheries deal for 2023, which the Faroese government said includes “necessary adjustments of the arrangement for 2022” due to total allowable catch (TAC) for cod decreasing for both sides in the Barents Sea.
The Faroese government added that the two countries have worked together on fish stocks in the North-East Atlantic and agreed on annual exchanges of fishing opportunities for decades.
