Japan: July Fresh and Frozen Pollock Exports Up 2.3 and 2.6 Times
According to the Japanese customs statistics compiled by the Ministry of Finance in July, frozen Alaska pollock shipped to China doubled from the previous year. Combined fresh and frozen shipments increased 2.3 times from the previous year. Sales of fall chum salmon increased by 90% due to continued strong sales to Vietnam and Thailand.
