Japan: August Imports Turned Upward After Five Months by 34.3% in Value and 6.8% in Volume
According to the August trade report released by the Ministry of Finance on September 15, seafood imports (excluding non-edible marine products) are recovering further, making up for the decline in the first half of this year. Although imports from China decreased, the value of imports from the United States and Asia increased significantly more than the increase in quantity. Both quantity and value increased for Russia, but the value growth was lower than that in quantity, reported Suisan Keizai.
