BOEM Enhances its Processes to Identify Future Offshore Wind Energy Areas
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management says it's changing its process for making decisions, including to identify areas for offshore wind energy.
BOEM said it will apply the changes to ongoing planning efforts in various areas around the country.
In response to feedback from BOEM’s government partners and other stakeholders, the agency said it has made improvements in two areas.
The first area relates to the best available science and modeling.
