Cooke in Agreement to Acquire Tassal Group After Multiple Failed Takover Bids
Cooke Inc. has finally gotten its wish and is in agreement to acquire Australia-based Tassal Group after sweetening its deal to A$1.1 billion ($771.4 million).
The Canadian seafood giant has eyed Tassal for at least a few months. In June, Tassal rejected a A$1.04 billion ($721.53 million) acquisition bid, along with another pair of takeover pushes earlier in the month and back in May of 2022.
