Global Seafood Alliance Survey Finds Chinese Consumers' Top Focus is Food Safety
The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) recently wrapped up a survey of almost 3,000 consumers in China to gain more understanding of their purchasing habits and what impact the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) label has on seafood sales.
The survey was completed by 2,698 consumers in 31 provinces, with 91% of those surveyed being under the age of 40. The GSA said that 90% of respondents preferred seafood to red meat and they intend to increase the amount of seafood they eat.
