Potential ISAv Detection at Mowi Salmon Site in Newfoundland and Labrador
Mowi Canada East released a statement regarding a suspected ISAv detection at one of its farming sites in Newfoundland and Labrador on July 30.
The company shared in a notice that the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture’s (FFA) aquatic animal health surveillance program detected pathogenic Infectious Salmon Anaemia virus (ISAv) in Atlantic salmon contained within one net pen at Mowi’s Canada East’s Little Burdock Cove (AQ#1083) marine site.
