FFAW Accuses Royal Greenland of “Deliberately Acting in Poor Faith” in Summer Shrimp Fishery
The Fish, Food & Allied Workers (FFAW) are accusing Royal Greenland of “deliberately acting in poor faith.”
FFAW claims that Royal Greenland in Quebec has been buying Northern shrimp from Quebec harvesters, caught in Newfoundland and Labrador waters, for $1.38/lb. However, they are allegedly only offering NL harvesters $0.90/lb. FFAW is also accusing the company of processing offshore “industrial” shrimp at the plant in St. Anthony since May and paying above $1.38/lb. for it...
