Russia To Face Serious Shortage Of Red Fish This Year
Russia will face a shortage of red fish this year as the ongoing military conflict with Ukraine and unprecedented Western sanctions has already resulted in the decline of imports of Atlantic salmon from Chile and the Faroe Islands to its market by almost 6 times, compared to 2021.
Most of such imports account for artificially grown salmon as well as trout, which traditionally accounted for 80% of the total consumption of red fish in Russia.
