Norway Royal Salmon Culls 800,000 Fish Due to Disease
Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) said the detection of a fish disease will force it to cull all fish at its Elva site in Alta municipality, Norway.
The Elva site has 0.8 million triploid fish with an average weight of 0.65 kilos. The company said the incident will impact its results in Q3 2022 and will reduce its expected harvest volume for the year by roughly 2,000 tonnes to 30,000 tonnes.
