‘Major Achievement’: MSC Board of Trustees Approves Fisheries Standard
Following a four-year review, the Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) Board of Trustees has unanimously approved its new Fisheries Standard, describing the milestone as a “major achievement.”
Currently, 539 fisheries are certified to MSC’s Standard, representing 16% of the wild marine catch in the world, making it the largest fishing program on the planet.
