Inflation, Russia-Ukraine Crisis Loom Over Norwegian Seafood Exports

The Norwegian Seafood Council shared that Norway exported seafood worth NOK 12.4 billion ($1.3 billion), just shy of a 50 percent jump from May of last year.
Acting CEO of the Norwegian Seafood Council, Børge Grønbech said demand remained strong for Norwegian seafood and it led to the second-highest ever export value for a single month. Grønbech said export prices were higher for salmon and a boost in the price for trout, cod, saithe, haddock and herring led to the growth.
