Camanchaca Opens $30 Million Horse Mackerel Plant in Central Chile
Chilean seafood company Camanchaca opened a new $30 million plant focused on producing frozen horse mackerel, per Intrafish.
The new plant will be in Coronel, in central Chile and it was led by the Pesquera Camanchaca arm of the company.
The latest plant aims to enhance Camanchaca’s other canned horse mackerel, fishmeal and fish oil
production plants in the same area, in addition to a shrimp plant in a neighboring region.
