DFO Announces Another First Nation to Pursue Moderate Livelihood Fishery in N.S.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) announced that it has reached an agreement with We'koqma'q First Nation that will see their members fishing jakej (lobster) in pursuit of a moderate livelihood fishery.
The news comes about a month after the DFO’s renewed understanding with Potlotek First Nation.
